At the launch of Marblo® materials in 1984, our catchphrase was and remains, “Freedom of Imagination”. By way of on-going research and product development, day by day we are coming closer and closer to attaining this aim. However, the ever-changing requirements and aspirations of the design community will forever move the goalposts.

Innovation will always be at the heart of Marblo®. To sustain this focus and remain adaptable to change, our head office team actively utilises technology licensing arrangements with international companies carrying on what we have done in the past when we licensed our technology to companies the likes of I.C.I., Showa-Shell and Government owned enterprises to manufacture Marblo® materials in regional markets.

Marblo® was originally created to provide new levels of performance as laboratory and kitchen bench tops. Today, the products are used in a myriad of residential, commercial, retail and hospitality environments. Marblo® is an organic ever evolving material, the credit for which resides with the talent of Australian and international designers, driving us to realize the full potential of our technologies. Their inspiration and vision, combined with Marblo’s commitment to product advancement has led to a number of world first developments within the solid surface industry.

With over 1,100 colours and 8 product ranges, our focus on meeting the changing needs of our clients has bestowed a unique market position to Marblo® materials. We are committed to supplying custom colours and materials via our Australian manufacturing licensee – Marblo Products, however the challenge we face over the years to come is ever increasing competition in the international market place.

As the first solid surface brand to establish manufacturing operations in China during 1994, we have seen a rapid and exciting change to the manufacturing landscape. To reduce costs to our clients, Marblo® has launched the Marblo+ range of selected colour sheets, unleashing the manufacturing powerhouse that is China.

The future of Marblo® materials will be a balance of custom-made and mass produced products. The result of which, I hope will furnish unparalleled flexibility for our clients to select their nominated colours, or to take advantage of high quality yet price competitive materials.
