Unfortunately Marble boulders are scarce in Sydney, and installers prepared to install a 2.4 metre x 2.8 metre slab of Marble into a corporate environment are even scarcer. To add a further spanner to the works, this boulder needed to be back lit. The solution was to create a 52mm thick slab of Marblo Opal material and then CNC cut out almost all the way through to give the illusion of a solid boulder. Practically the item weighed in excess of 500kg and the installation process tedious to say the least. Nevertheless the result was impressive. Image folder specified does not exist!
