About:
Stephen Varady is an architect that looks at design & products with a different perspective. Fortunately for all Stephen’s clients this unique approach has landed him some of the most highly publicised architectural works in the country. Working with flexible and accommodating clients also helps. In this project the design intent was to create a beautiful - vibrant - opalescent & illuminated kitchen…. And oh yes, it should be blue. Only a product such as Marblo is able to emit such a vibrant colour yet still look neutral. Furthermore the designer insisted that everything be built from Marblo. So all the joinery in the Kitchen and bathrooms was either clad or created from a 20mm thick solid slab of Marblo Opal Blue material. Even the off cuts were utilised in creating door handles and towel rails. The result is one of the most unique and nationally recognised Marblo installations.
