About: The request was simple, an illuminated Bar top & face created from Marblo Pearl material. The construction on the other hand was a different matter altogether. The reason for the difficulty lay in the fact that the Bar unit was elliptical in shape from plan view, yet the bar face returned on a 45 degree incline. The result was that the Marblo material would be required to perform two dimensional bending, which had not been achieved in the past. Issued with the challenge, the team at Marblo applied every trick in the book and after weeks of trial & error – a result. The lesson – although possible, bending Marblo in two dimensions is not feasible.
