Press Release - New Logo for Old Company

New logo for Marblo®

Since the products inception in 1979 by Dr. Karim Obaidi, there has been a progressive evolution of the Marblo® heritage. One factor that had not previously changed since the product’s release was the Marblo® Logo which had remained the same for the past quarter century.Marblo®, which initially started with a colour range of five plain colours in one product category has since evolved to offer a range of over 1,000 unique colours in 10 product categories representing a broad spectrum of finishes from speckled materials closely resembling re-constituted stone to semi-translucent materials such as pearl and storm which are unique to Marblo®. Furthermore today Marblo® boasts a standard (ex-stock) colour range of over 30 colours. With this progression in product offering obviously there has also been a tremendous progression in brand identity. This said - changing a logo that has stood to represent a highly recognisable brand for almost 30 years is no small task. Enter Frost Design and the radical new concept of the blocks logo. The logo was custom made for Marblo® to suit the proportions of a standard sample of Marblo®. Soon after Marblo® commissioned web designers to create a new web space and working in collaboration with Frost Design, the bold new logo along with the pixel theme that Frost developed were applied and a new web identity was created.9-Nov-2007
