Press Release - Marblo Plus Series
Economists and politicians proclaim that competition leads to a more efficient economy. In the case of the Australian solid surface industry, competition led to reduced margins for manufacturers and distributors alike. Marblo® offered the market solid 20mm thick sheets. According to the Marblo Groups Managing Director Rany Obaidi “Producing 20mm solid Marblo® bench tops and table tops is a more efficient method of manufacture, producing savings to the end user in the order of 35%.” The reason, traditionally 12mm thick solid surface products have a formed build-up edge. “The labour cost involved to glue and finish edges far exceeds the cost of supplying a thicker material straight from the factory. All our fabricators need to do is cut the Marblo® sheet to size and they have a finished product.” says Rany Obaidi. So, more material can result in lower costs.Marblo® also supplies sheets in various widths aimed at market needs, including 650mm, 760mm and 900mm wide sheets. 26-Nov-2007
